Check to see if the door seals are cracked.
Cold plate cellars occasionally produce a light frost on the inside of the bottom of the cellar when the compressor stops. However, it is not normal for frost to build up on the bottom of the cellar. This could signal a problem with the compressor or with the lines in the sealed system. In this case, a visit from one of our technicians is probably necessary. Call us right away.
Check to see if the door closes properly. For instance, a door left ajar overnight will cause warmer temperatures.
Check the control settings on the machine (see the user manual for suggested settings for white wine and for red wine).
Check whether all components of the machine are working (compressor, compressor cooling fan, evaporator fan, etc.). Do you want to have one of our technicians check your unit?
Error codes that can be fixed easily are listed in the user manual. For example, the F1 code means “replace the carbon filter”. Consult your user manual to find out what the code means.
If the error code is not in your user manual, it is probably related to a major problem involving the electronic controls. In this case, a visit by one of our technicians is probably necessary. Call us right away.
