AIR CONDITIONER

THERE IS FROST IN MY AIR CONDITIONER!

Did you run the unit when it was colder than 10 °C outside?

Check to see if the filter is clogged.

It is not normal for frost to accumulate in the front panel of a unit. This could mean there is a problem with the compressor or the tubing in the sealed system. In this case, a visit from one of our technicians is probably necessary.

MY AIR CONDITIONER IS NOT COLD!

Check to see if the BTUs for the device correspond to the square footage of your apartment. For example, you need about 5,000 BTU for a bedroom.

Check the control settings on your machine.

Check to see if all the system components are working (e.g., compressor, cooling fan, evaporator fan, etc.).

Would you like one of our technicians to check your machine for you?

Air conditioners need a tune up about every 2 years to remove the pollen and mosquitoes that get stuck in the compressor cooling system. In this case, a visit from one of our technicians is probably necessary.

MY AIR CONDITIONER IS DISPLAYING AN ERROR CODE!

Error codes that can be fixed easily are listed in the user manual. For example, the F1 code means “clean the filter”. Consult your user manual to find out what the code means.

If the error code on your unit is not listed in the user manual, it is probably related to a major problem involving the electronic control. In this case, a visit from one of our technicians is probably necessary.

MY AIR CONDITIONER IS LEAKING!

It is normal for air conditioners to leak on the outside of your home when it is hot and humid. This is the result of dehumidifying the air inside your residence.

It is not normal for an air conditioner to leak from the front. This could mean there is a problem with the filter, the drainage system or the sealed system of your unit. Remember that air conditioners need a tune up every 2 years to remove the pollen and mosquitoes stuck in the cooling system of the compressor. In such cases, a visit from one of our technicians is probably necessary.
