Your water filter has a lifespan of about six months. However, you may need to change it more often, depending on the manufacturer’s recommendations and how often you use it (the more water that passes through it, the sooner it has to be replaced). But in any case, you need to change it on a regular basis, even if you don’t use it often, so as to prevent the growth of bacteria.
2. So your water is optimally pure
As time goes on, your filter accumulates and retains impurities until it becomes saturated. At this point it becomes incapable of filtering and absorbing any more polluting chemicals that might be found in the water, such as benzene, lead, pesticides and microplastics.
